Couples who want a pre-dinner drink with a view, rather than another walk down the Parkway to yet another chain restaurant, will find it hits that mark cleanly. Adult groups traveling without young children, especially those who've already done the Dollywood day and want somewhere to decompress with a good cocktail, get a lot out of the setting. Guests at HeartSong Lodge are the obvious core audience — the rooftop is one elevator ride from their room — but the majority of Pigeon Forge visitors are staying elsewhere and driving in.

It's a worse fit for families with young children or anyone expecting a full, filling dinner. The small plates format means you can eat here, but ordering enough to be genuinely full requires multiple rounds and adds up. Think of it as a bar that takes food seriously, not a restaurant that happens to serve drinks.

They're not competing for the same customer; they're serving different moments in the same guest's evening.

A natural sequence is cocktails and a plate or two upstairs while the sun drops, then dinner downstairs if you want the full Ember & Ash experience. Or skip Ember & Ash entirely and use High Note as a standalone stop. Both are reasonable ways to use the space.
